about

I put the kettle on and started reading Alan Lightman's, "Einstein's Dreams"...my relationship with time melted away into a simultaneous rapid blur and still image. A song emerged from both my mind and the "Ivers and Pond" piano nestled against the green wall. Lyrics came as I sang and floated through the recording process in my creative dream. The sun and moon merged into a dancing torch highlighting my movements. Then suddenly, the song was done...the kettle boiled. Tea time at the Chateau.

lyrics

More Distant Than Tunisia

Still now, flying through the air
High above the midway sounds
They reached out in frozen time
On their last ride together

An avalanche of anxiety
The music loud and shaking knees
He reaches out and slowly drowns
From the din she is drawn to.

A mother hugs her little girl
As she always did and only can
A hair tie lies out of place
In a cold basement corner

Across the Strait of Sicily
A man sits on a balcony
He holds his book and thinks of her
More distant than Tunisia
